Since the quality of human connection and satisfaction in relationships at age 50 has been shown to be one of the best predictors of overall health at age 80, I think taking an inquisitive and objective look at relationship patterns is worth looking into (see Harvard Study of of Adult Development). I was turned onto this “attachment style” quiz through Podcaster Mark Groves. He has a lot of materials worth looking into.
The quiz takes about 10 minutes to complete and will give you a synopsis of how you tend to “attach” in relationships (with significant others, friends, family members). Psychologists believe this style is likely related to patterns or behaviors you witnessed as a child. So if relationships have not been going the way you’d like, perhaps a deeper dive into your childhood is being asked of you at this moment.

Note that all humans are a mix of various attachment styles, which is absolutely normal.
