SOUL. What Silence Has To Say.
A simple quote:
“Listen to silence. It has so much to say.”
I see so many grab for their phones at the first second of silence. I felt dizzy on a recent train ride from Innsbruck to Florence watching the one or two second swipe action of video after video on the passenger seated in front of me for hours. My head hurt even when I just glanced over for a minute.
What if instead of avoiding the silence, we listened to it? Invited it? Created a nest of refuge for our poor, brilliant brains in this ADHD inducing world?
While I realized on my recent 10-day Vipassana meditation course that my brain is never truly silent, but making some space for it to run free was also very worthwhile. And the ideas, clarity and emotion that came up from seemingly nowhere… perhaps that was the silence speaking to me.
What does silence have to say to you?
